We Are on Schedule and Getting Ready for You to Join Us

25 FEB 2021

Our team at RattleSnake is on schedule.  Planning, scheduling, and gearing up for another wonderful season. February is normally a bustle of activity preparing for in person hiring fairs and although these are now virtual, we have over 90% of our staff returning for 2021.  This is wonderful news as we can spend less time training the basics and more time with higher level hospitality training. When the course opens, you’ll see so many of the same faces it will make winter feel like a blink of an eye.

With Halton region moving into the Red region of restrictions this week we will continue to work remotely however accepting deliveries daily and available for pickups by appointment. With so many amazing new pieces of equipment launching in February stay tuned to our social media platforms for the latest in technology.

Hopefully you are getting a chance to get outdoors and embrace this amazing winter weather we are currently being treated to. Getting outdoors and staying active during the winter months is not only good for your mental wellbeing, it will also help your golf game come the spring. Additional exercises that will help provide core strength and loosen those tight hip flexors from sitting all day will give some added benefits. Indoor golf facilities have opened back up, contact Nate Robinson if you would like to develop a plan with one of our Professional and make the 2021 golf season your best yet.

Teaching Academy

Our Academy website has been updated with a new look and is now open for program registration.  Visit http://www.academyatrattlesnakepoint.ca/ for more information and to register for our Junior Programs and Women’s Clinics.

Member Events

Over the next few weeks we will be meeting with our member committee to finalize the Member Event calendar, prize budgets, and address your feedback from 2020 to ensure we are providing our Members with the Best Possible Experience.

Here are some to mark in your calendar for 2021:
May 4th to Oct. 5th (every Tuesday) – Ladies Day and Senior League
May 6th to Oct. 7th (every Thursday) – Men’s Night

Oct. 15th – Men’s Night Closing

July 31-Aug 2 – Club Championship
Aug 17 & 18 – Senior Club Championship

At this point we expect all Member Event to be played as tee time events.  We will return to shotguns as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.

Visit RattleSnake Member Event Calendar for a full listing of our 2021 Member Events.  Registration will open 30 days prior for most event, you will receive a communication from Golf Genius for event registration.

Our Handicap Committee have been hard at work this offseason planning for a great year at RattleSnake. The handicap committee has been busy auditing score postings from the 2020 season and ensuring our members are meeting the 85% score postings for ClubLink rounds played. More information on this will be communicated from the committee prior to opening. If you don’t already have it installed, make sure you have the Golf Canada app downloaded to your smartphone. This is the easiest way to make sure all your rounds are posted in a timely fashion prior to midnight on the date played. It also allows you to keep score digitally during the round, track your stats and get updates from your regular golf partners.

Guest Play and Pre-Paid Guest Packages

We have made some changes as it relates to our guest policies. We believe it is imperative to ensure that Members have access, before we allow guest play. As of 2021, we will be selling guest pass packages differently. Packages will be limited to 1 per Member and are not transferrable. They will be sold by round so you can purchase a prime or twilight package at 12 for the price of 11. Guest play will be limited on weekends and holiday to after 11 am. Guests will also be limited to 12 rounds a year, 2 per month. This will be tracked diligently in 2021.  If you are interested in a package contact Nate Robinson.
