Vice Captain Nominations

We are now seeking nominations for the positions of Men’s Vice-Captain, Women’s Vice-Captain, and Senior Women’s Vice-Captain.
Each successful candidate will serve a two-year term as Vice-Captain, followed by a two-year term as Captain for their respective division, for a total commitment of four years.
If you would like to nominate a member for any of these positions, please send your nomination directly to me at smberriman@clublink.ca. I will connect with each nominee to confirm their interest and availability to commit to the full four-year progression from Vice-Captain to Captain.
Nominations must be submitted by July 10
Term and Election Process
Each Vice-Captain will serve a two-year term, with the expectation of advancing to the role of Captain for a subsequent two-year term. In this capacity, they will also serve as a member of the Club’s Member Advisory Committee.
Annual terms run from December 1 through November 30 of the applicable year.
Voting will take place in mid-July to allow the successful candidates time to shadow the current Vice-Captains and Captains within their respective divisions and become familiar with the responsibilities of the role before the new term begins. Vice-Captains are encouraged to attend league events, major club competitions, and committee meetings whenever possible to gain experience with club operations, procedures, and competition administration.
Candidate Qualifications
Members seeking election to one of the Vice-Captain positions should:
- Be a member of the Club for a minimum of three years.
- Have a strong understanding of the Club’s leagues, formats of play, handicap system, and golf competition administration.
- Have experience participating in or organizing golf events and competitions.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold a full golf membership at the Club.
The elections for these positions will be conducted by the end of July and administered by the Golf Operations Manager.
