Golf Carts
27 JUL 2023
We want everyone who operates a golf cart at RattleSnake Point to have a fun and safe experience while out on the course. Course conditions change daily and with the construction ongoing throughout the property, we may sometimes forget some of the golf cart etiquette that's expected at all ClubLink properties. All ClubLink properties require the operator of golf carts to be a minimum age of 16 and hold a valid G1 license. If they do not, they are not allowed to operate one on property. Certain circumstances may apply for guests from out of province. If you are unsure, you can always contact the golf shop for additional clarification.
A few tips to consider:
- Be very cautious when driving downhill. CopperHead Holes 3, 5, 8 and SideWinder Holes 2, 6 and 8 have steep hills with limited visibility. Take extra precaution when on these paths, especially in wet conditions.
- Never drive in the opposite direction on the cart path. There are many blind spots on cart paths, especially around bridges and hills. We also have our turf team that operates large and sometimes loud machines and it may be difficult to see or hear another person close by on the cart paths that are driving in the wrong direction of traffic.
- Enter and exit fairways appropriately. There will be roped off areas on some holes to allow damaged grass to grow. Some high traffic areas will not be roped off and we hope everyone uses their discretion as to areas to avoid and the best points of entry and exit on the fairways.
- Park your cart greenside appropriately. We have stones that line most cart paths around the tee decks and greens. Your cart should never be on, or over, these stones. Some areas will require you to park tight against the stones, to allow traffic around on the other side, but while on carts paths, especially around the greens, you should always be parked with all 4 tires on the cart path.
