Giving Back to Our Community
One of the things that makes RattleSnake Point such a special place is the generosity of our membership and the impact we are able to make beyond the golf course.
This year, our Members once again showed just how committed they are to giving back to our local communities. Through generous Member donations, league initiatives and raffles held throughout the season, our leagues collectively raised an incredible $141,000 for charity.
- Senior Men’s League – $96,000
- Men’s League – $43,000
- Women’s League – $2,000
The Senior Men’s League has been leading the way for more than 15 years, establishing a tradition of giving back that has become an important part of the league and our Club. Their efforts have continued to grow each year, and this year’s $96,000 will be shared among 11 local organizations supporting individuals and families throughout Oakville and the broader Halton community.
Over the years, that spirit of giving has spread throughout the club, and it has been fantastic to see our Men’s and Women’s Leagues embrace that same commitment. Through their own fundraising efforts throughout the season, the two leagues have contributed almost $50,000 to charitable causes. These are meaningful contributions that make a real difference and are a great reflection of the generosity and camaraderie within each league.
The 2026 Senior Men’s League recipients include Oakville Community Living, Food for Kids Halton, Wellspring, Acclaim Health – Patty’s Place, Kerr Street Mission, Oakville Fare Share Food Bank, Halton Women’s Place, Burlington Food Bank, Ian Anderson House, Carpenter Hospice and De Mazenod Door Outreach.
It is incredibly rewarding to see this tradition continue to grow across our Club. What started with the Senior Men’s League more than 15 years ago has now become a Club-wide effort, with our leagues coming together in their own ways to support the communities around us.
And the impact is getting noticed beyond our Club as well. The Senior Men’s League’s fundraising efforts were recently featured in Oakville News, highlighting the incredible $96,000 raised this year and the 11 local organizations that will benefit from the donations.

A huge hats off to our Members and to everyone who contributed, participated, organized and helped make these fundraising efforts possible. Whether it was through a donation, purchasing a raffle ticket, participating in a league initiative or simply encouraging others to get involved, every contribution helped.
Thank you for continuing to show that RattleSnake Point is about so much more than golf. The generosity of our membership and your commitment to making our local communities a better place is something we should all be proud of.
