Food and beverage update

27 MAR 2024

Welcome to Spring 2024!

Despite a mild winter, Spring surprised us with a reminder that our weather can be unpredictable, with some snow. However, April Opening Day is on the horizon!

Over the past few months, we've been diligently planning and preparing behind the scenes to ensure we deliver a fantastic season and dining experience for you and your guests.

Chef Ryan deLeon and his team have been hard at work introducing at least five menu variations throughout the season. Popular items like our Cobb salad, grilled chicken club, and fish & chips will remain, alongside daily lunch and dinner features. Additionally, our 'After Five' dinner menu will be available Friday through Sunday. Michelle Inglehart, our Food and Beverage Manager, is collaborating with wine vendors to create wonderful pairings that complement our menu items, including some new wine options and value-added opportunities.

At the Halfway House, the 'On Course' menu will feature daily specials and rotating sandwich selections to provide variety. We're excited to offer our popular Labatt lineup, along with Carlsberg Radler, White Claw, Sandbagger, Triple Bogey, and Collective Arts craft beers. New additions include Fairlife protein shakes and Bodyarmour beverages.

We're also implementing a water refilling station at the Halfway House to help reduce plastic waste, so please bring your reusable water bottles.

Join us in celebrating Mother's Day with a special brunch on Sunday, May 12th. Telephone reservations start on April 1st at 905-878-6222 (ext. 2010). More details and the full menu can be found on the Members' website. Stay tuned for information on our Father's Day BBQ and Nine & Dine event in upcoming newsletters and communications.

We're thrilled to welcome back many staff members for the 2024 season, from servers and bartenders to on-course staff and our culinary team. We're also excited to welcome some new faces, while bidding farewell to a few key staff members as they pursue other opportunities.

Despite economic challenges affecting food and beverage costs, we remain committed to providing you with value and quality in all our menu items. We hope you'll choose the Bistro and Terrace as your first choice for lunch or dinner this season.

As Tiger Woods once said, "No matter how good you get, you can always get better," and we're excited for the journey ahead in 2024. We can't wait to see you soon!

Warm regards,
