August Agronomy Update

August often presents the most prolonged stretch of heat and humidity of the
season. Recovery potential is reduced, and turf can quickly decline if not managed
carefully.

This is when precision and patience matter most.

Water Management & Irrigation

Proper irrigation is critical during this period. Both under-watering and over-watering
can cause stress.

Our team closely monitors soil moisture levels to maintain balance — providing
enough water to sustain the plant while preserving oxygen in the root zone. Hand
watering becomes especially important, allowing us to target specific areas without
oversaturating entire surfaces.

Managing Plant Stress

You may notice slight adjustments in mowing heights or frequency during extended
heat. These decisions are intentional and designed to protect plant health.
Growth regulators and careful nutrient management help the turf conserve energy
while maintaining consistent playing conditions.

August is often referred to as “survival mode” in turf management. Our primary
objective is to protect the plant so that when cooler conditions arrive, recovery is
strong and rapid.

Every decision made this month is focused on long-term course health.
Sincerely,
