A Message From Your Team at RattleSnake

29 JAN 2021

Happy New Year to everyone.  The RattleSnake community is a strong one built on family and friendship, during this difficult time we want to send our condolences to the family and friends of those we have lost during the last year.  Our thoughts are with you.

As we move into 2021 we want to continue to provide our members with the Best Possible Experience and take RattleSnake to the Next Level.  2020 came with it’s challenges but it also gave us an opportunity to see another side of how RattleSnake could operate.  Some of these changes are temporary and others will find a permanent home in our future operation.  Your feedback matters to us and this year we received a great deal of positive feedback.  Most of this feedback was around the staff and the new relationships that were built with the frontline service staff both outside and in the clubhouse.  Many of the adjustments we needed to make to run a safe operation actually allowed us to accomplish a goal we have been trying to get to for several years.  Getting to know Members names and using them daily.  Not only did our team get to know our Members names, they started to become familiar with them and in turn our Members got to know our team.  The relationships built helped our team to give you the Best Possible Experience while you were at RattleSnake.

Course conditions were amazing all season and we often heard the comment that “the course has never been in better shape”.  The quality of the food and the attention to detail inside or on the patio provided another topic of discussion for our members “the food this year is the best it’s ever been”.  These positives give us a new foundation to build upon for the 2021 season and will provide momentum as move into another season with COVID.  For now we continue to look for ways to provide the Best Possible Experience in these current conditions. We continue to refine our plan for this season and the steps it will take to accomplish our goals.  As we approach the season we will provide more details on our plan and what you can expect during 2021.

We are working on the Member Events Calendar and Event Portals which you will hear more about in the near future.  There have been changes to the 11th hole on Copperhead which look amazing.  It is going to make for a difficult approach shot into that green which will make the hole one of the most challenging on course.  We will continue to update you with what is happening at the club through our Newsletter, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

This week marks the week of the ClubLink LaQuinta Pro-Am, when COVID was just something we heard about on the news.  As I watched the American Express Championship last weekend and the memories on Social Media popped up on my timeline, I’m reminded of the beautiful resort, amazing golf courses, and great times we had.  We had 4 teams there in 2020 and we look forward to this trip and others in the future.

I don’t know about you but we are extremely excited about the new products that you can expect to see in our Golf Shop this coming season.  For me I was able to get the New Titleist TSi driver in my hands last fall. I noticed an increase in ball speed and an improvement in accuracy which for me is high on my list for areas of improvement.  We are now seeing new drivers for TaylorMade, Callaway and Ping.  I’m looking forward to putting these up against my Titleist in the spring.  For more information contact Chris Forgan cforgan@clublink.ca

Game improvement has been a big focus for me and my players this offseason.  This offseason I was able to rekindle my passion for helping others get better and even with the lockdown it’s something I continue to work on.  We are working on putting together our plans for the 2021 season, drills we can work on at home, practicing putting and finding the right mental and physical approaches for each individual.  If you are interested in playing better golf in 2021 please reach out to nrobinson@clublink.ca.

We would like to welcome Sean Casey to the Academy Team at RattleSnake.  We are excited to have Sean as part of the team and the experience and leadership he brings.  We are working on updating our 2021 Academy Website https://www.academyatrattlesnakepoint.ca/ program registration, updated Coach Bios and more will be ready soon.  We will let you know when you can begin to register for Junior Programs, Ladies Clinics, and Private Lessons.
