2024 Member Survey Review

25 SEP 2024

On behalf of the RattleSnake Point Golf Club staff, thank you for completing the Member survey. Forty-three per cent of your peers filled out the survey this year. It’s an important tool that gives us the confidence to continue doing what makes your experience great and explore ways we can improve based on your feedback.

Survey Highlights

Our best result was in Employee Attentiveness as we scored above 90% satisfied in all three questions (F&B staff 90%, golf staff 92%, use of names 90%). This makes us incredibly proud of the team that works every day to make your experience the best it can be. Our Members' effort to recognize them and thank them plays a huge role in their motivation. Thank you!

Turf Conditions and Management Relationships were the next best scores of 90 and 85 per cent, respectively.

We are so grateful for your support, and the results from the survey made us all proud to be a part of RattleSnake Point Golf Club.

Areas for Improvement

Based on your feedback from the survey questions, we will take quick action on a couple of items.

When reviewing the comments, rakes in bunkers came up multiple times.  Bill McAllister has started a full audit of all bunkers and has been adding rakes to bunkers daily where needed.  We started doing this early in September.  Moving forward we are asking Members to leave rakes outside of the bunkers once you are done with using them.

Great, reliable pace of play has always been a key to the success at RattleSnake Point. We saw many comments about bringing back play coordinators to help with pace of play.  Pace of play is a priority for us, and we feel that having our key staff on course daily is the best way to manage expectations.  In mid-July we started adjusting our golf shop staff schedule to allow our key staff to be doing on course tours daily starting at 10 am and ongoing throughout the day until 4 pm.  We feel that sending the right people out will have the greatest impact on pace of play improvements.

The surveys made it clear that we could improve our communication regarding club operations and F&B updates. This is an area we know we can always be better at, and this winter we will look at an improved communication strategy for the 2025 season.

Additional Updates

In addition to the RattleSnake Point-specific improvements, there are some non-club-specific items that will be addressed in a ClubLink-wide message soon. Please keep an eye out for that communication for further updates and enhancements that will benefit your overall ClubLink experience.

We would like to thank you all for an amazing 25th anniversary season and we wish all a safe finish to the season.

Sincerely,

Craig Cupido
Regional Director of Operations
