Health and Safety Tips of the Month
16 MAY 2025
Here at RattleSnake Point, we are going to be introducing a new newsletter item. We are calling it our 'Health and Safety Tips of the Month'.
We take pride in making sure that our membership can come to our golf course and remain safe at all times. This month, we are going to be talking about Parking Lot and Golf Cart Safety.
Driveway and Parking Lot:
- When coming up our driveway, you will be able to see our 25kmh signs posted on the left and right sides of the road. We ask that all members abide by this speed on the driveway as well as the parking lot to keep all drivers and cart riders safe at all times.
Golf Carts in the Parking Lot
- In our parking lot, we ask that all cart riders drive at a speed limit of 8 MPH. With our new carts from last year, you can see your speed on the cart console. This is a speed where all riders can be reactive and safe while driving through the parking lot and bag drop areas.
- We also have a cart return area in the parking lot located near the driving range. We ask that all riders to return carts there to ensure there is ample space for car drivers when entering the lot.
While Riding in a Cart
- We ask that all riders please keep both feet in the cart at all times. Driving with a leg out can lead to serious injury.
- We also ask that there be a maximum of two riders in a golf cart at a time. Having three riders or one person on the back of the cart is incredibly dangerous and can also lead to serious injury.
- To drive a golf cart on property, you must be 16 years of age and have a G1 Drivers license issued.
Thank you to all of our wonderful members for keeping our property safe!
