2025 Golf Season is Around the Corner
As the sun begins to shine and temperature starts to rise, golf season is around the corner. With that, we at the club could not be more excited for what’s to come in 2025. Here is everything you need to know. We look forward to seeing everyone at the club very soon.
New Golf Course Ratings
Our renovations are officially over! These are exciting times. With this news, this past fall, GAO came and re-rated our golf courses for 2025 and moving forward.
To rate a golf course, there are two big things to think of. There is the slope and the rating. The rating is designed to indicate how difficult a course is for a scratch player. For example, our rating on Copperhead from the Blue / White tees is 70.5. This means that a scratch player from those tees would average a score of 70.5. Slope rating is essentially a Bogey rating. Slope Rating is the relative difference between rating and slope. If you drew a line through the Course Rating and Bogey Rating points, Slope Rating would be the slope of that line.
These are things we can look for on our new scorecards which will be available in our golf shop and at the starters before play.
Both courses are rated a stroke or two easier than they were previously depending on the tees you play. In any competition, strokes may fall differently than they have in the past. Be sure to always have a scorecard with you when you are playing in competition.
League Registrations Are Now Open
Last Tuesday (April 1st), our member leagues and match plays opened. This is an exciting time as the season is just around the corner and now is your chance to get signed up for the season. Each league has a different club representative, be sure to check the golf genius portal and contact the correct person if you have questions.

Staff in the Golf Department
We are excited to welcome Spencer Rempel into the Member Experience role this season. Spence will bring to the table his knowledge about the golf course, and the operation. Spence will be out and about at the club most days during the season and we encourage all of our members to reach out to him if they have any questions or concerns throughout the season. Our entire management team is always happy to help assist members, we hope that Spence will be able to elevate your experience at RattleSnake.
We are excited to have added a new PGA Assistant Professional to the team, Mike Pike. He comes with experience from Fort McMurray Golf Club in Alberta, and The Pulpit Club in Caledon. He is passionate about the industry and has strong knowledge and background in club fittings. We are also excited to welcome Sunny Patel to our team. Sunny will be taking on the role as our Back Shop Manager. This role is imperative to our club initiative of crisp and clean and Sunny will be spearheading this. Be sure to say hi to both when you see them.
I look forward to seeing everyone back around the club in the coming weeks.
