Club Update - Fall Season at RS

03 SEP 2025

As we wrap up another wonderful summer at RattleSnake, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for making the season such a success. From busy tee sheets and lively events to casual rounds with family and friends, it has been a true pleasure to see the golf course and clubhouse filled with energy and community. Your support and enthusiasm are what make RattleSnake such a special place.

With the change of season, we are beginning to adapt our operations to align with the shorter days and cooler mornings:

  • Driving Range Hours – As daylight fades earlier in the evenings, the practice facility will continue to close one hour before sunset. This adjustment ensures our team has enough daylight to safely collect golf balls each night.

  • Morning Tee Times – Beginning this month, weekday tee times will move to 8:00 a.m. starts, with weekend tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. As fall progresses, these start times will gradually move back to accommodate frost delays and reduced daylight.

This time of year also brings softer ground conditions and slower turf recovery. We ask all members to remain diligent in filling divots, repairing ball marks, and raking bunkers. These simple steps make a tremendous difference in preserving playing conditions for everyone, especially as the turf requires more time to heal in the fall.

You may have also seen Superintendent Bill McAllister’s recent letter outlining the course care projects his team is undertaking this fall. Initiatives such as aerating tee decks, topping up bunkers, and cutting down fescue and naturalized areas are all critical steps in preparing the course for winter and ensuring a strong start next spring. I encourage you to give his update a read if you haven’t already.

On behalf of the entire team at RattleSnake, thank you once again for a terrific summer season. We are excited to share the beauty of fall golf with you and to carry the momentum of the season right through to year’s end.

Warm regards,
Craig Cupido
